Cambodian Circus "My Village"

"My Village" is a modern circus performance by 12 professional artists, written and directed by Khuon Det, artistic director of Phare Ponleu Selpak.
Strongly inspired by Cambodian traditional artistic heritage, "My Village" uses dance, live music and singing, but also impressive juggling, balancing, acrobatics and contortion tricks to tell a contemporary tale about human relationships.
The performance is divided in two shows of 40 minutes, enhancing and completing each other.
"My Village" is a hopeful piece about past and present, about nature and society, and first and foremost about traditions and modernity, told in the international language of the performing arts.
